What is Nutrition Coaching?

Nutrition Coaching is a secondary service offered here at No Barriers Fitness, and is NOT just for those who attend our classes.

All too often, individuals trying to improve their nutrition habits will follow generic eating plans, recipe books and meaningless weigh ins, that really do very little for the majority of people and only help a very small few.

We aim to combat this by offering a different kind of service. Our Qualified Nutrition Specialists understand the overwhelming evidence which suggests individuals who make lasting progress all share something in common, they LEARN how to eat properly instead of being told how to eat properly. Life changes, routines change and our ability to adapt our nutrition to these changes is the cornerstone of long term success and a healthy body composition.

The process begins with a baseline consultation to assess your current eating, training and sleeping habits.  Your Nutrition Coach will conduct a Body composition Analysis using an InBody™ Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA for short) machine.  This modern piece of equipment gives you a breakdown of body composition including, weight, body fat percentage, lean muscle mass percentage and daily calorie requirements.  Once these have been established we will begin to make small, but effective changes to your lifestyle and eating habits which will ultimately line up and deliver long term success.  You will be routinely assessed using the InBody™ scanner to make sure you are reaching your goals.

Consultations will be held weekly until you have a foundational grasp of effective eating and  lifestyle habits.  This program is not intended to be a long term solution, those who have undertaken one to one Nutrition Coaching generally do so for 12-16 weeks, and after this they are more than capable of maintaining (and in most cases improving) long lasting changes.
